Mykola Tomenko: Ukraine will not bear the Seventh State Academy of Science
On 27th of January 2008 after the official publication in newspaper "Uriadovyi Kurier", the Order of the President of Ukraine "On Academy of Ecologic Science of Ukraine" come into force. According to the Order the Academy of Ecologic Science of Ukraine was founded with the 25 current members and 52 members-correspondents.
Separate point in the Order was the commission of the Cabinet of Ministries of Ukraine on necessary actions on the foundation of the Academy.
Consequently, the foundation of the new Academy of Science will be financed by the State funds. It should be noticed that there are already six Academies of Science in Ukraine and several State Scientific Estates that are financed by the country.
The Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mykola Tomenko appealed to the Committee on Science and Education of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in order to analyze the situation and make conclusions regarding the expediency of the new Stet Academy formation.
